I give it a try.
Hello, I’m Mangowontu, a Korean hobbyist based in Korea who tries hobbies first-hand and records what I learn. I’m part of what Korea calls the MZ generation, and I enjoy the dopamine hit of discovering something new and fun. My hobbies and interests change often: I try what catches my attention, then move on when the next curiosity arrives.
That puts me back in a beginner’s shoes again and again, asking the same questions: how much does it cost, what should I try first, what should I choose, and why? MZpick keeps those choices and reasons for the next person getting started.
From renting shoes at my first climbing gym to choosing two perks in a game: I write starter guides that make those first, daunting choices a little easier. I hope that while reading about one hobby you discover another kind of fun.
We also write down the criteria behind each choice.
The right choice depends on your budget, what you want it for, and your experience. Rather than listing recommendations, we explain the situation at the time, the reason for the choice, what we accepted as a trade-off, and when a different choice is better.
